ABOUT

The Matt Swanton band is an up and coming blues band out of central Massachusetts playing blues steeped in a late 60s/early 70s psychedelic rock. Coming fresh off the release of their Sophomore album "Growing Pains" they are steadily gaining traction, getting airplay on local and international radio, features in local newspapers, and gigging all over New England.

The band features guitarist and singer/songwriter Matt Swanton, bassist Ken Edelman, drummer Will Tattan, and keyboardist Dave Osoff. They were semi-finalists in the 2023 International Blues Challenge representing the Boston Blues Society, and were also nominated for New England Music Awards 2025 Blues Artist of the year.

TESTIMONIALS

""Growing Pains is the perfect title. They're young, dynamic, and the cd is a mix of energetic rock blues integrated with some old style blues.""

Holly Harris

91.9 WUMB

""This band givers their all, merging psychedelic rock, blues, soul, and funk into a fun album that I enjoyed. This one is well worth a spin, especially if guitar and keys are something you appreciate.""

Steve Jones

Blues Blast Magazine

""...Matt takes every care to make the songs sound fresh as well as exciting with a range of styles coming through.""

Nick Baldrian

Powerplay Magazine

""Lots of great songs. This band is developing into a major player both locally and nationally in a very short time.""

John Guregian

91.5 WUML

""...this release is a joy, start to finish. I hope this translates but there's a vibe you find at really great blues performances. Sometimes these do not translate to the studio. Not the case here, if you know what I am talking about you'll already be a little excited about this CD.""
